Hi every body I installed Wss3.0 in window 2003 and through central Administration Created an application and site collection. All permissions set to administration of domain(share point process and database). When i want to browse HOME of site collection it give me error that "page cannot display". This server is under domain , is it any setting for share point that should set to domain or not. Thanks for any guides to solve this problem. Regards Ali

Hi,This looks like name resolution issue. What is the name of the site and what do you get when you ping it?Did you use a HOSTHEADER while creating it? If yes you may need to have an entry created in DNS with that hostheader name pointing to the Ipaddress of the server.Thanks!I LOVE MS..... Thanks Kshitiz for your guides I test two different Application with two different names again exists problem. Both of them has HOSTHeader. Regards Ali

Re-create web application and site collection with the netbios server name: http://srv1 for exampe2. Then you can configure Alternate Access Mapping and DNS for different names as you wishMCTS, MCITP:EPM

Hi Every Body Thanks for your guides. I understand that feature of IIS not installed so i intalled frontpage Extention,webdav and aspnet ,but The problem exists so uninstalled the Wss and IIS the installed IIS with all feature again. I think the problem is from here because at the moment localhost didn't verify and IE don't find localhost. Ofcourse when i ping localhost it is ok and it reply ,but it didn't browse. Regards Ali

Hi Every Body Thanks For your Guides. As i wrote i installed IIs again , and the problem was http://localhost/ in IE show fallowing message :the page cannot be displayed . I found that iisstart could not run , Why? i don't understand .but when i changed default page with a blank page it runs ok. I checked Server Extensions that some should be allowed and then install wss . Now every thing is ok thanks for your corporation . Regards Ali
